🔥 Learning of the week:
The Not-To-Do List in Job Application ✨
In this week's learning, our mentor- Andi Beka, the Head of UX & Design at simplesurance GmbH will share some of the red flags in job applications.
1: Never Express Salary Expectation As An Exact Number.
Provide a wide range
As you progress through the interview process, you are able to reduce your range towards a single number
2: The Application Materials
Are password protected, either not available or have changed
The professional title is different from a CV to Portfolio
The name of the PDF file is created for another company
3: Boring Cover Letter
Not aesthetically pleasing. Fulfill minimum expectations (Kano Model)
Too many colors, shapes, icons, and stylistic elements
Has contact data but does not answer promptly
4: Inconsistent Portfolio
Crafted manually that indicates ‘low efficiency’
Has case studies that are not related to the applied job
5: Lack of Social Presences
Not having a LinkedIn account shows a candidate has no evidence for the professional direction
