The 6 commandments of pitching your idea
This week, our mentor- Rodrigo Narciso shares the recipe to build a perfect Elevator Pitch. Let’s get this rolling 🚀:
Step 1: Draw a diagram
Brainstorm the most important points that you want to highlight. For instance, mention how you want to be perceived and how you are unique.
Step 2: Create a hook
Start with something that amazes the audience. Do some background research about them that makes them more likely to listen to your pitch.
Step 3: Keep a good connection
Allow them to ask more about you. Make the conversation interactive between you and the target audience.
Step 4: Be yourself
Embrace who you are and be authentic. Do not try to impress or exaggerate with some information that is not true.
Step 5: Insert something different & be positive
Catch your audience's attention. Share something that you feel good to talk about and share about. Make sure to drive the conversation politely and positively.
Step 6: Challenge yourself & rehearse
Practice delivering your pitch in under 1 minute. Think of it as “ How would you tweet a project”? Keep practicing until you are confident with your pitch.
