🍿 5 Steps: how to win in product storytelling to get buy in
1) Create a strong introduction blurb
This is The What. Research your audience and their problem, use the information to create a blurb. A blurb is important to highlight or share a glimpse of the product that you’re going to be presenting
2) Highlight the conflict/plot
This is The Why. Hook clients in your storytelling. It could be a question that makes them ponder, a quote that makes them aspire to an ideal, or powerful statistics that stir some mixed emotions
3) Include character and supporting role
This is The Who. Highlight the user persona in your story, their pain points, journey maps, empathy maps, that flash out who is on the wheel of the story, what is important to them, what is troubling them, etc. Build a sense of urgency
4) The solution for your user problem
This is The How. Present how your product could solve your target audience's problems. This is the climax of your story
5) Provide closure to your story
Let’s say you start your hook with a What-If. Resolve this hook by asking, “How are we equipped to make that vision into reality?” You want to give them a sense of hope and confidence towards your ability in the closure stage
