I just went and checked my Billing section. Phew! It's only me.
HOWEVER, I did have an incident where Figma charged me for a Design seat for a client of mine who I temporarily shared a file with. Nonetheless, I contacted Figma and let them know it had been a mistake. They refunded the charge.
And yes, Figma's pricing has always been confusing to me since the moment it came out.
Great article, and a little eerie because it reminds me so much of my recent experience with Notion. I couldn't tell if the UX was predatory, or a design flaw, or both. I commend Rosie's time and energy to make this into a UX case study!
I remember external partners I collaborate with started sending me .fig files as email attachments instead of sharing a link to their Figma file. I was so shocked the first time I saw it because it felt like we went back a few years. Figma builds awesome products. They never miss. Even with Figma Sites, Buzz, Make etc. Every product is researched and carefully built. So, how is pricing so hard to solve?
The Dark UX Pattern at Amazon turned me off. I'm curious to know if Figma customers share the same sentiment.
There have been designers out there who talk about sustainable design patterns might earn the business support in the long run

you can add to this the "Figma coding" that create messy, not up to standards and not accessible code
